  • Additional Info Son of Richard and Hannah Rowntree; husband of Pamela Helen Rowntree, of Ealing Common, Middlesex. 'Chick' Henderson was one of Britain's most popular singers in the late 1930's. His first recording with Harry Leader was 'Zing went the strings of my heart'. 'Chick' joined the Joe Loss band in September 1935 and they went on to record many tracks together.
