Visit a CWGC site for Heritage Open Days

Join us on tours and at open days in Great Britain, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands and discover the history of the CWGC, who commemorate the 1.7 million Commonwealth men and women who lost their lives during both world wars.

Uncover the remarkable stories of the men and women of the Commonwealth forces remembered near you and discover the local history on your doorstep.

On our tours you’ll learn about how our staff, supporters and local volunteers preserve our unique cultural, horticultural, and architectural heritage and ensure that the stories of those who died are told.

At our open days, you’ll be invited to try your hand at stone engraving in a masonry masterclass and will learn the importance of memorial maintenance and conservation. Find out what it takes to manage more than 23,000 cemeteries and memorials around the world and the conservation challenges that come with managing sites that are over 100 years old.

We can only offer a limited number of spaces for these events – so book your spot to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing you there.
