Northampton Kingsthorpe Cemetery - War Graves Week Tours

War Graves Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.

MEETING POINT at the Cross of Sacrifice just inside the entrance to the cemetery.

This cemetery contains 41 scattered burials of the First World War and 72 from the 1939-45 war, most of which are contained in a war graves plot in the eastern part. The cemetery also contains the graves of three Czech servicemen.

We will look at the stories of some of the 116 casualties, including a murderer.

Limited parking on-site; no facilities; uneven ground; hilly or steep slopes; wheelchair access.
