Tower Hill Memorial - War Graves Week Tours

A tour guide giving a speech to attentive guests at the Tower Hill Memorial.

War Graves Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.

MEETING POINT at the centre of the memorial on the upper level between the two sailor statues.

Join us at the Tower Hill Memorial which commemorates men and women of the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets who died in both World Wars and who have no known grave.

During the Walking Tour you will visit the names of individuals from both World Wars and learn about the history of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. You will also find out about some of the casualties that are commemorated here.
