History information

Eastbourne contained a very large Military Convalescent Hospital, opened in April, 1915, and (from January, 1917 to October, 1919) No. 14 Canadian General Hospital, called at first the Eastbourne Military Hospital. There are 129 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 war and 44 of the 1939-1945 war here. There are also 1 Belgian and 1 Brazilian Foreign National burials of the 1914-1918 war.
